Facebook acquired the Tel Aviv-based mobile analytics company, Onavo in 2013.
Last week, Apple reportedly suggested Facebook to voluntarily remove Onavo Protect for iOS from the App Store.
Onavo Protect app is still available for download from the Google Play Store on Android.
For those who have downloaded the Onavo VPN app on iOS in the past can continue to use it.
However, Facebook wont be rolling out new updates for iOS users.
