A Facebook user has teamed up with others to to file lawsuit against Facebook in a US court.
The plaintiffs have alleged through the lawsuit that Facebook routinely scans private messages.
In the lawsuit, Campbell alleged that Facebook misrepresented the privacy of its messages.
Facebook has responded that the company scans private data in bulk and maintains this data in anonymized form.
