Facebook in the recent past has been in the news for invasion of privacy of its users.
In other words, Facebook tracks the location of your smartphone to suggest People You May Know as friends.
People You May Know are people on Facebook that you might know, a Facebook spokesperson said.
The Facebook spokesperson further added, Location information by itself doesnt indicate that two people might be friends.
Thats why location is only one of the factors we use to suggest people you may know.
The only way to avoid this is to check the privacy parameters on your smartphone.
