Just typeregeditin the search bar of thestart menuand it should appear right at the top as the first option.
Once there,double clickon theWriteProtect value.
Now, you might change the value from 1 to 0.
Once the changes are saved, shut the tool and reboot your machine.
When re-connected, the storage gear should be working normally.
Set this value to 0 and name it WriteProtect .
kill the system and reset your machine.
