Apparently, the smartphone dropped from a height of 2,500 feet from the sky.
She was flying around Vancouver and taking pictures out the window when the wind slipped it from her grasp.
My first thought was: What?
Did that really just happen?

However, she did not give up on her iPhone 5s.
I had just changed the ringtone [that] morning from Stayin Alive.
Ive since changed in back in honor of the phones will to live, she told the News.
However, otherwise it appeared to be in working condition.
I had no idea the wind would grab it from my hand.
Lesson learned for sure.
I wont be taking pictures on a plane beside an open window ever again, thats for certain!
