Moto E4 and E4 Plus get FCC certification ahead of launch

Motorola started this year with a bang with the Moto G5 releasing recently.

With the recent reports, Motorola might just be revamping more of its lineup with two new models with model numbers XT1762 and XT1773 recently gaining Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification with most people expecting these devices to be the Moto E4 & E4 plus.

Moto E4 and E4 Plus Specifications Leaked

The leak comes from tipsterRoland Quandt, who alongside the model numbers reported that these might be the next generation devices to the E series of Motorola.

Moto E4, Moto E4 Plus Specifications includes whopping 5000mAh battery, gets FCC certification

He claims that both the models will feature dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and 16GB of internal storage at a minimum.

The difference will be in the battery capacities, with the standard E4 having a 2800mAh battery and the E4 Plus variant featuring a 5000mAh battery.

Were assuming for now, that the screen size of the E4 will be the standard 5 inches with the plus variant being slightly bigger at 5.5 inches.

The certification also indicates that these phones might not support fast charging since the FCC document shows the battery charger of only 2.0A.

Rolant also claims that both the 4th generation Moto E twins might have MediaTek SoCs underneath and will run on Motorolas iteration of Android Nougat 7.0.

The Moto E4 gadget was also spotted on the Indonesian regulatory entity P3DN which more or less confirmed the details weve mentioned above, including the screen size of the smaller gadget.

Are these the follow up to the Moto E3 or a completely new range all together, is something we will have to wait and see.
