Motorola Moto E gets Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA update
Motorola is on a roll, they are going toupdateAndroid 5.1 Lollipopfor first-gen Moto E. The rollout comes after multiple soak tests of Android 5.1 were recently seeded tofirst-gen Moto Eusers.
Motorola has decided that the improvements made in Android 5.1 are good enough that they arent going to waste any more time with any other Lollipop builds.
TheAndroid 5.1 Lollipop updatefor theMoto E (1st Gen)comes with the same 23.21.15 build as the global update forMoto E (2nd Gen).The update for the Moto E (1st Gen) will roll outover-the-air (OTA)to users in India, says Motorola.
Enhancements offered byAndroid 5.1tofirst-gen Motorola Moto Eusers :- notifications and improvements, heads-up notifications, quick notifications, gear protection feature and a brand new lockscreen.
If you havent received the push notification by default then you could can also manually check for theupdateby going to parameters > About phone > Software update.
