Sony has introduced the Xperia Z3+, an premium version of its existing Xperia X3 handset.

It also runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.

The downside is slightly reduced battery capacity, but the Xperia Z3+ still packs a 2,900mAh battery.

However, it claims that the new smartphone offers up to two days of battery life.

Both the front and rear-facing cameras now use Sonys Exmor sensor.

The rear-facing camera is still 20.7-megapixels.

The magnetic charging pin has also been removed for cleaner lines.

Xperia Z3+ has a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) IPS screen and glass-and-metal body.

According to Sony, the glass used in the smartphone is shatterproof.

Similarly, both smartphones support microSD cards of up to 128GB capacities and come with 3GB of RAM.

According to Sony, the machine will be available globally from June.
