Sony has quietly launched the Xperia A4 smartphone in association with Japanese carrier, NTT Docomo.
Unlike the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, the single-SIM Xperia A4 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
It features a 4.6-inch HD (7201280 pixels) Triluminos display with X-Reality engine.
The Xperia A4 features IP65/IP68 ratings for dust-proof and waterproof certification like most of Sonys recently launched top-end smartphone.
It packs a 2600mAh battery very muck like the Xperia Z3 Compact.
The smartphone comes with 128x66x9.1mm dimensions while the Xperia Z3 Compact measures 127.364.98.64mm dimensions.
Both the phones weigh 129 grams.
The Xperia A4 (SO-04G) will be available in Grey, Pink, Blue and White colors.
It is currently available for pre-orders via NTT Docomo and will start shipping in the middle of June.
So far no pricing details are available for the handset.
