United Airlines has grounded all flights worldwide Wednesday morning after its computer system suffered a technical glitch.
The Federal Aviation Administration specifically blamed the ground stop on automation issues.
United Airlines regional carriers however escaped the grounding because they have their own facilities.
This is the 2nd such instance where computer glitch has brought an airliner operations to a halt.
