Apparently, the Facebook owned company is collecting your phone numbers and your phone call duration without your knowledge.
This was revealed by researchers from University of New Havens Cyber Forensics Research & Education Group.
The group has detailed its study in a paper published in the scholarly journal, Digital Investigation.
This tool may be useful for deeper analysis of the WhatsApp protocol.
He said he believes they are the first to discuss WhatsApp signaling messages used when establishing voice calls.
