Xiaomi has released an OTA (over-the-air) update for Mi 4i users world over including India this week.
The system update V6.5.5.0 has been issued to fix the overheating issues and some security bugs.
Users had complained that the Xiaomi Mi 4i overheated when users played hi-definition and complex 3D games.
Barra said that to fix this issue Xiaomi has optimised its thermal control algorithms to better regulate the temperature.
Xiaomi Mi 4i users all over the world would receive this update within this weekend.
Remember to use only Wi-Fi for updating your smartphone.
This issue was fixed and only then, was it resumed for everyone by Xiaomi.
