It was Xiaomis very first 4G rig to be introduced in India, with support for both 4G bands.

The Redmi Note 4G has a 5.5inch HD IPS Display.

It is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8928 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The phone packs in 3,100mAh battery and runs Xiaomis MIUI OS.

The smartphone comes equipped with 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera for selfies.

For the last few months, at least a dozen new smartphones have entered the crowded Indian market.

For instance, the recently launched K3 Note from Lenovo is priced at Rs.

9,999 and has much better tech specs than the Redmi Note 4G.

The Redmi Note 4G went on sale late last year through the flash sale model on Flipkart.

Later, the company tied up with Airtel and other offline retail partners.

Starting today, it can now be purchased from online as well as brick and mortar stores.
